i got the CRV pulley coming,it'll be on the car in a week.this combined with the stepper pulley should net me somewhere in the go-go boost range of like 15-17 psi, enuff to fudge sumpin' up.its not me daily driver, so i'll give it a go.what the hell!!!

I say, go for it! I respect you for actually taking your SC into uncharted territory (at least for the members on this board). Good luck, but just do everything methodically in the ignition and fuel department.

    thanks zip and holden.
yeah,i figure im gonna give it a try.
its not like im gonna throw on the pulley and drop the hammer and blow it.im gonna gradually try it out.i'll run the car at part throttle first and keep the j&s a little sensitive.then ill gradually increase the throttle depressions little by little.then when i reach the point of full throttle runs,i'll start to back off the j&s for more power, while keeping an ear on the motor and charger for any indifferent sounds.if the charger goes, well, ill get another or rebuild it somehow, same goes for the motor.but i actually think the motor and charger have more potential from where they are now.some might be right on their theories of the motor or charger blades, but like you said, somebodys got to try it for the board members.i tried the type R cam,and its working fine,Does anybody else have the R cam ?havnt heard so if they do.and how bout the newly ported head...havn't heard of anyone else with the combinations i've got so far.
maybe the motor and charger will actually work a little better with the ported head,or actually breath a little better to say..
    wish me luck.......

Well, I already told the story of a certain young man who spun his M62 JRSC to 16psi and the rotors collided, broke apart, and got sucked into the motor, breaking pistons, valves, sleeves, and destroying the head, so I won't rehash it. The blower speed was estimated at 23,000rpm when it came apart, which is roughly double the intended design parameters.

I'm not saying don't do it, I'm just telling you the consequences of failure at this level - catastrophic. All I want to know is that if it does fail, will you tell us?

    Exclamation

The blower is NOT going anywhere near 23,000 RPM in this case. It might hit in the neighborhood of 14,500 at engine redline. At that boost level and RPM it's going to be draining 50 or more HP to run it and the discharge temps are going to be elevated perhaps 250 degrees above inlet temps. That sounds dangerous...

I'm wondering how the Eaton blower you mentioned hit 23,000???

ill let everybody know how it goes.if it starts sounding like something is not running correctly, ill let off,it not,im floorin' it.
if it breaks everything, ill let everyone know,if it runs great, ill let everyone know.
    either way.
